Overview

The Rural Community Assistance Program (RCAP) works toward developing, maintaining and managing affordable, safe drinking water, sanitary wastewater treatment, and solid waste disposal systems in rural areas of the State of Michigan.

Rural Community Assistance Program's purpose is to provide assistance to small, rural communities working toward improvements to their water, wastewater and solid waste disposal systems infrastructure and management throughout the United States.
Who Is Eligible ?
RCAP assistance is available at no charge upon request to qualifying communities. RCAP supports regional cooperation among communities and seeks ways for neighboring communities to work together on joint solutions, as well as individual community systems.
 
Additional Program Information

RCAP can:

- Provide information on funding sources and assist with applications and environmental reports.

- Assist with community mobilization and priortization of needs.

- Identify affordable alternatives for facility development.

- Assess the future system solvency and present regulatory compliance.

- Provide groundwater protection resources, watershed management and wellhead protection planning, etc.
