Residents of Jackson, Lenawee, and Hillsdale counties with household income less than $57,000 can get their tax returns prepared FREE through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program at Community Action Agency.
Automated appointment scheduling begins January 19th and there is an option to speak with a live representative, if necessary. “Appointment times fill up quickly,” says CAA Program Operations Manager Tami Farnum, “but we continue to add additional appointment times throughout the tax season based on volunteer availability.”
