The Head Start and Early Head Start programs at Community Action Agency are NOT closing and will continue providing essential services to families in Jackson and Hillsdale counties.
Earlier this week, five (5) Regional Offices for Head Start abruptly closed, including the Chicago Regional Office that provided oversight and support for Head Start programs in the state of Michigan. Our grant monitoring and support will likely be absorbed by another Regional Office.
While we are saddened that our dedicated federal partners in Chicago – with whom we have worked for many years – lost their jobs through no fault of their own, we also want to reassure families and our community partners that Head Start and Early Head Start services in Jackson and Hillsdale counties will continue to operate uninterrupted at this time.
